Three Rivers District

Bishop John Hopkins recently visited the Three Rivers District at the Newcomerstown Christ UMC on Monday, April 11 for a time of conversation and prayer with pastors of the East Ohio Conference. We shared in worship with "By His Grace" and the Bishop spent time in questions and discussion about various issues of the conference and church. We spent time praying for the church, the mission field, the conference, and this holy season as we approach Easter.

On Sunday afternoon, March 20, Rev. Humphrey led a S/PPR workshop training for our district at the Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church. Over 65 persons from S/PPR Committees of 30 churches were represented. The training was to help Staff/Pastor Parish Relations Committee members understand their job and responsibilities. We have attached Rev. Humphrey's power point as an outline of his presentation and to help you with understanding this important role in the local church and our connection.
